Today I rode my bike (well, my dad’s bike) to the Hamilton Library, then back home, and then to pick up my car from the shop.
8.3 miles: fun, but definitely not a time-saver.

a meaningful world
My library had “a meaningful world”! a greg jao favorite. i just stumbled across it, so i checked it out, yay ivpress books. along with The Reason for God (Tim Keller), and The Problem with Pain (c.s. lewis)
Don’t know if i’ll actually get through all of them but they are all good for witnessing on the mean streets of princeton.
hopefully it won’t rain tonight and i’ll be out again there.

Sometimes I feel like when I make decisions that are remotely biblical, people who call themselves Christians are the first to criticize and say Im crazy, that Im taking the Bible too literally, or that Im not thinking about my familys well-beingWhen people gladly sacrifice their time or comfort or home, it is obvious that they trust in the promises of God. Why is it that the story of someone who has actually done what Jesus commands resonates deeply with us, but we then assume we could never do anything so radical or intense? Or why do we call it radical when, to Jesus, it is simply the way it is? The way it should be?
